

Rick was born on October 8, 1957, in Charleston, South Carolina, to George and Delphine Gors. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother, and loyal friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him.
Rick shared 31 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Diane Gors. Together they built a family filled with love and countless memories. He was the proud father of Austin Gors, Anthony Gors, and the late Willis Gors. He treasured his role as Grandpa to Brantley Gors and Braxton Gors. Rick is also survived by his siblings: Kelly (Bill) Lavack, Sandy (Charlie) Zeidan, Jim (Marie) Gors, and Bill Gors. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Willis Gors; his brother, Danny Gors; and his sister-in-law, Carie Gors.
A true handyman, Rick could fix just about anything and found great satisfaction in home improvement projects. He was an avid animal lover and a self-proclaimed computer nerd who enjoyed learning about technology. Family and friends will fondly remember his excellent cooking, always accompanied by a glass of iced tea.
Rick found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved watching movies, never missed an episode of Murder, She Wrote, and enjoyed listening to classic rock music. He was an avid reader, an enthusiastic coin collector, and enjoyed golfing whenever he had the chance. Rick also had a lifelong appreciation for cars and could always be counted on for a good conversation about them.
Above all, Rick will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His quiet strength, sense of humor, willingness to lend a helping hand, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
