Richard was born the son of Guyle and Eleanor (Bossert) Wills in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 11th, 1939. He graduated from Robbinsdale High School, class of 1957. Richard began work at the Red Owl Grocery Store. He married Muriel Martin on July 20th, 1963. Richard started a career in data processing with Chrysler and moved his family to Michigan in the 1970’s. He retired from Chrysler in the mid 90’s. Richard attended Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and later Kensington Church.
Richard was known to be kind hearted with a great sense of humor. He was approachable, likeable, and level-headed, a very supportive husband and father. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, landscaping, and gardening. He also appreciated road trips up north and listening to music with his wife Muriel.
Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Muriel; son Kevin (Ann Marie) Wills; granddaughters Marissa and Natalie Wills; and brother Guyle “Skip” (Barbara) Wills. Richard was predeceased by his parents, brother Thomas and son Jeffrey Wills.
Services will be private for Richard. Interment will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
