My mom Laurel worked with Richard for almost 20 years. He was so good to her, and always made me feel so loved and welcomed when I came to visit at the store. He was kind and sincere. Special man, I am glad to have known him. My sincere condolences to his beloved.

Richard was a wonderful friend and frequent guest of all our restaurants . The staff loved his wit and the way he treated them. Days of golf at Pine Knob were always a great time filled with laughs.
We just spoke recently at The Paint Creek Tavern prior to his knee surgery. He was the Go To Guy for all the Family Jewelry and special occasions. I am out of town and just heard the terrible news .
Loved the guy !

Georgia ,James and family
It’s been years since we last saw each other but I am so sad to hear about the loss of your husband Richard. Nick was here visiting from Arizona last week and we spoke of the memories shared between our boys in high school and in Charlevoix.
I didn’t know Richard well but I know he was a good man, very caring and loving.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Richard was my ex-brother in law and even though it’s been awhile since we’ve spent together, I will always remember his gentle voice quirky jokes and generous heart. He sold me my engagement ring when he was working at, or maybe even co-owner at the time, with Shifrin and Willen, it’s been 43yrs. So I may have the wrong on the name. One of the kids will correct me if I’m wrong. Lol.. He helped us out then and even though we lost touch over the years, he still never hesitated in helping my children out with their rings as well... I’m glad I was given a chance to see him for the last time at my sister in laws funeral. It was nice to see he still had the same sense of humor that I always remembered. God Bless You Richard! May you R.I.P. Love, Donna Baciorowski

I always looked forward to calling my Dad on the phone or stopping to see him to discuss how bad the Detroit Lions will be that year, or talking about golf, which he loved so much! Most important is when we just talked about life, or when my Dad would give me words of wisdom. Priceless moments! He was taken from this world to fast but, I will always try to smile like I would when talking with my Dad on the phone or when I would stop and see him. My Father will be missed by so many hearts that he touched and I will try to smile when I think of him. He would want that.

We moved in next door to Richard & Georgia 19 years ago and couldn't have chosen better neighbors! Since day one Richard welcomed us with his open heart & sincere kindness. He always gave special attention to our boys, our family pets & really, everyone he met.

We will forever miss our great conversations, seeing him outside walking his dogs that he loved so very much, his genuine smile & that occasional glass of wine on the patio. We developed a wonderful friendship over the years & are so very grateful for the impact Richard had on our lives. Such a good good man.

Our heartfelt prayers to Georgia & the family for the great loss. We know he is at peace in heaven.

Kids and dogs... the two things that always put a smile on Uncle Richard’s face. He was always so sweet with our girls and I think our daughter Isabelle held a special place in his heart because of what she’d been through as an infant. Similarly, he preferred rescue dogs because I think he must have felt they were deserving of a little extra love. Down on their luck, they could do no wrong in his eyes and he poured his love into their care, concern and well-being. Visiting Michigan won’t be the same without him. We will miss his sweet nature (and snarky remarks).❤️❤️
