Rita Ann Colston

Rita Ann Colston, age 87, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away December 28, 2021.Rita was born the daughter of Howard and Agnes (Peterson) Miller on August 16, 1934. Rita graduated from Busch High School in Center Line, Michigan, class of 1953. She married Johnny Colston on September 17, 1955. Rita raised her family first in Warren, Michigan and later in Shelby Township. Rita loved her grandchildren. She was passionate about casino, bingo, and soap operas. She enjoyed knitting and in earlier years she enjoyed bowling. Rita is survived by her children Sue (Johnny) Sabbag, Richard Colston, and Marsha (Marvin "Wayne" ) Ashe; grandchildren Peter Sabbag, Kristyn Sabbag, Nicole (Dan) Esper, Michael Ashe, John Rumble, and D.J. Colston; brother Ted (Shirley) Medlin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her sons Billy and Bryan Colston; her parents; and her sister Randi Larotta. A chapel funeral service will be held on Friday December 31, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Christian Memorial Gardens West Cemetery, located at 521 Hamlin Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
