He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank V. and RoseH. (Onlav) Babbish and his adoring wife Florence V. Babbish (Polek).
He was a loyal Chrysler truck driver for over 30 years and an active member of the UAW. He was of Catholic faith and involved in Stephen Ministries. He cherished his circle of friends and sure loved to socialize…always good for a story of his past antics and adventures!! He loved fishing, duck carving, model
railroading and spending time at his condo in Florida. He was also known for making an amazing Caesar salad the authentic way. But, his favorite pastime in life was holding Florence’s hand and looking out over the lake at their house!
Robert (“Bob”) leaves behind to cherish his memory, step-sons Michael (Jane), Paul and Glen (Sonya) Szydlowski; brother James M. Babbish. Also his grandchildren, Lea (Drake) Gheta, Hanna, Dale, Leanne and Wade Szydlowski; and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial mass for Robert will take place at St. Mary Of The Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307, on September 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
Robert will be cremated and buried, with Florence, at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Please consider memorial tributes to St Jude Children’s Hospital (www.Stjude.org).
