“Gin Lemon Sevens!”  RIP Dinger! Stan

I didn't have the pleasure of working with Bob for long on the Chevrolet account, but I always considered him to be a knowledgeable and approachable man. He was one of a few co-workers that I met early on in my EDS career that influenced my work thereafter. My condolences to his family and all those that knew him.

I came to know Bob through the EDS Golf League.  One look at him on the course and you knew he thoroughly loved the game and enjoyed every minute of it! His gentlemanly demeanor was dwarfed by his smile and sense of humor.  

Anytime I played against Bob's team,  the compliment he received from me on his tee shots was "Boring Bob";  he was always straight and consistent thus depriving us of any excitement of looking for his ball in the woods. 

Bob will be greatly missed by all of us in the league and we will cherish all the great moments we shared with him.  


Uncle Bob has been in my life for as long as I can remember.  He was one of only three people who ever called me "Chris".  Holidays with Uncle Bob meant that he had the electric knife and I had the serving fork to place the sliced turkey or ham on the platter.  It was our "thing" to do together.  He always managed to swipe the crispy skin pieces of the turkey when I was too busy drinking a whiskey sour.
I remember a trip that the Springer Family made to visit us in Columbus,  We went to the caves and of course made a stop to the Anhesuer Bush Brewery.  Can't pass up that free 6oz.  Bud Light !!
Uncle Bob's sense of humor and acceptance was over the top.  No Christmas was complete until the wrapping paper balls started flying !!
 He treasured family and times spent together.  We love you so much and will miss you forever. xoxo

Rox, Tara, Chad and family, We are so sad to learn of Bob's passing. We have so many great memories of Thanksgiving and Cousino reunions and Bob was always a big part of those occasions. His pitchers of Whiskey Sours have no match! He was so joyful at the last reunion, toasting "Thank You Uncle Howard!" We didn't predict Bob's bartending skills when we first met at Charlie's Blind Pig in Toledo! We will miss getting Ohio State football updates from Bob. We have enjoyed seeing the photos of your kids, then grandkids, through the years, often at Ocean City or Disney World. It's been a blessing for your family to have such a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. We pray you find peace in the many wonderful memories. Love, Dave, Darrah, Cody and Shelby, Kelsey, and Sammy.

Mr. Springer has blessed me with many memories over the years. Throughout all the family trips, the cruises, playing Skip-Bo up north, parties and hangouts at the Springers' house, or simply counting money at St. Irenaeus, he always made things fun, and he always made everyone laugh. And he was always kind enough to let me know when I had something on my shirt.

Mr. Springer had a youthful presence that I quickly recognized growing up. He always greeted me and joked around with me, and that made me feel welcome. He cherished his family and friends, and it was easy to see. I am thankful to have grown up down the street from the Springer's. They are a wonderful family, and Mr. Springer is central to that.

Mr. Springer was a great man. I am glad to have known him well, and I am extremely sad that he is no longer with us. We all had many more memories to make. I will mourn him.

To Mrs. Springer, Chad, and Tara, I'm sorry I am not there in person to pay my respects. I will keep you and him in my prayers. He was a wonderful man, and we will all miss him forever.

We are so sorry and saddened to hear of  Bob’s passing. Heaven has received a VERY SPECIAL ANGEL who will be forever in our hearts, prayers, and thoughts.   We have so many great memories of Bob and we will miss him dearly.  

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Springer and times with the Springer family: staying over for pizza and watching Pistons games all together, going on Springer family trips up north and to Ocean City, big games of Skip Bo and Mr. Springer being in the “Bo Zone”, our families renting a house together in Hilton Head, and the Spring Break cruise our senior year. I can’t help but laugh when I think about how, over the past 27 years, Mr. Springer got me to fall for the old “what’s that on your shirt?” trick probably over a thousand times. Bob was a such happy man and he had a great sense of humor. I can’t remember a time when he wasn’t smiling or laughing or making others laugh. He was a kind man who always made you feel welcome and treated you like family. I feel blessed and very grateful that Bob was a part of my life.

To Roxanne, Tara, and Chad, I am so sorry for your loss. I am heartbroken that Bob was taken so soon and so suddenly. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that he is in a better place now and that you will all be reunited one day. You will be in our family’s thoughts and prayers. We love you all. 

I remember when Bob and myself got hired together to work for the 2010 Census program working 3rd shift we rode to the office together and shared a lot of our experiences. I will always miss him when I pass the house

Upon learning of Bob's passing I can only imagine the heartbreak that all of you are enduring.  I remember when you and I worked together, listening to your wonderful memories about your vacations and family times.
You were both blessed to have such a beautiful marriage and family and that your lives have been so full of love and joy. 
My prayers are with all of you as you gently let Bob go on to his next stop.

I had the good fortune to be introduced to the Springer family in my early teenage years. I’ll always have very fond memories of “Mr. Springer”. In my memory he’s was always one of the happiest people in the group and his positivity always spread to those around him. The entire Springer family always made me feel safe and like I was part of the family but Bob and his unique sense of humor and general good nature are the things I’ll always remember him for. My condolences to the entire family. His loss is felt by more than you know and your all in our thoughts. 

I have many fond childhood memories with the Springer family. Bob and Roxanne are my godparents and old family friends. It's been many years since I've seen Bob but when I picture him he is smiling.

I will always be grateful to Bob & Roxanne for introducing Debbie and me in 1982.  We had so many good times together: epic Halloween parties; weekends up north; scavenger hunts; tribute videos; euchre parties.  Bob was always a cheerful host with a radiant smile and gleam in his eye.  Bob made every occasion fun and joyful.  

Roxanne, Tara, and Chad, we are so sorry for your loss.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have been taller than uncle Bob since I was 15, and ever since then the way he has always greeted me was, “What’s up shorty?” To which the only thing I could reply is “not much stretch.” Uncle Bob was the kind of guy you always wanted to be around. The kind of guy you wanted to sit next to when you were opening presents at Christmas, and not just because that made you less of a target for him when the wrapping paper started flying. Uncle Bob had the spark of life, of humor, and of happiness. The world got just a smidge dimmer without his spark. I miss him already, even though I know he’s getting to hangout with Courtney, Uncle Carl, and all the rest of those we love and miss. Thanks for all the smiles and the laughs Uncle Bob. 

Roxanne, I’m so sorry for your loss.  I’ll always have fond memories of being with you both when you lived in Flint. Prayers for you and your family. May God keep you in the palm of his hand 

I have had the privilege to know Mr Springer for 30+ years of my 37 years of life. Mr Springer was one of those “second father” type influences in my younger childhood years. I’ll never forget the little jokes/pranks he would play just to get you to smile. Things I now find myself doing to my own kids. Or how amazing his montage videos were. Now, I compile my own every year for my own family.  Thank you for influencing me to who I am today. For some reason this picture sticks in my head when I think of Mr Springer.  

When I moved up to Michigan, Chad was one of my first new friends, and by extension of meeting him, I met his wonderful mother and father.   I connected with Mr Springer over our love for Ohio State, and he would always ask me about my family.  He was always so welcoming and inviting.  The Springers made me feel at home.  I had some of the best times of my life over at their house.
I even got to be apart of one of the best family vacations ever with the Springers.  A nice van, Nintendo, a long ride to Ocean City Maryland, the beach, the boardwalk and all the great food.   It was such a blast.  I was just Chads friend, but the Springers made it feel like I was with my own family.  I love them.
I will miss Mr Springer with all my heart.  I'm sorry that I didn't get the chance to see him over the past few years.
My thoughts are with you guys.   I love you.       

We met the Springers over 30 years ago.  To sum it up, the phrase "never a dull moment" is appropriate.  Bob was always the first to greet us with a warm smile and some friendly gesture.  He was often subtle, but there was no doubt of his sincerity.

Always ready for a party atmosphere, Bob was often the source of fun pranks.  He was a neatnik in his garage, so we would sneak out and leave all of the cupboard doors and drawers ajar.  We were rewarded once by discovering literally 50 pine cones in our freezer one Sunday morning.

We will miss the annual Christmas card that often would include a copy of some obscure photo of ourselves from the past.  And of course, the hat exchange parties were always fun.

We will miss you Robert, but we know you are in good and loving hands.  They even let Buckeye fans into heaven!

Mark and I are grateful for the many happy memories we have shared with Bob & Roxanne, both cherished and fun-loving friends. 

One of the best was on our European cruise. No jet lag or early bedtime for us our first night in Rome. The 4 of us crowded into an elevator that was meant for two, sat in our tiny room sharing a bag of mini libations, laughing until our sides ached. 

Bob lit up the room whenever he was near; always a twinkle in his eyes, a grin on his face; he inspired glee. 
The wind went out of my sails when we heard Bob had left us. Such a wonderful human who meant so much to so many.

 My heart aches for Roxanne, Chad, Tara and family members. May they find peace & comfort in their wealth of memories. God has of course welcomed him with His loving grace. 

Dear Roxanne,
Every get together with you and Bob meant plenty of laughter for Linda and me - whether it was at a “play group” gathering, a chance meeting at Costco, or a goofy elevator ride and furniture rearranging in a hotel room in Rome.  Though we’re terribly sad, remembering Bob will always bring a us smile too.

We have so many memories of Bob.  From our meeting through work and continuing with raising our young families together.  My funniest memory is when Roxanne went into labor with Chad at my house and Bob refused to believe it because him and Paul were always trying to fool each other.  Luckily he left work and made it in time.  I never made bean dip and let a pregnant woman eat it again. Chad was a bit premature.  Love to you all in this difficult time.

Hi Roxanne I just heard you may remember me from Buick many years ago I worked with Bob he's such a wonderful man. Always such a great smile sense of humor hard worker just a pleasure to be around. Now I know your heart is broken right now I wish you and your family the very best. Take care and on behalf of all the people that we worked with at Buick ourcondolences.

I can’t tell you how sad I am in the passing of Bob!  Always so fun to be around. We had many years of laughs, 31 years to be exact. He will surely be missed by me, Rich and our whole family!

I've known the Springer family almost my entire life, and Mr. Springer was always a fun man to be around, even as a kid. My fondest childhood memories of him have to be my first "hobo pie" that he grilled up, and the time he helped us launch water balloons at a neighbor's pool party. There's also the trips up north and to Ocean City. As I grew into an adult  he would always greet me with a smile and was excited to catch up on my life. Bob was a great man, a pleasure to be around, and a wonderful father and Grandfather. I consider the Springers an extension of my own family, and Bob will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Chad, Tara, and Roxanne.

Uncle Bob is truly one of a kind. He is the type of person that lights up every room he enters. Seeing Uncle Bob meant hearing corny jokes, being asked all about what's going on in my life, and smiling a whole lot. The annual Cousino Christmas/New Year's get-together is an event I look forward to all year, when Uncle Bob and Aunt Roxanne so graciously open their home to the family.  I have so many great memories playing games with the cousins in the basement, enjoying tasty appetizers spread all over the kitchen counter, and seeing the same crappy presents resurface every White Elephant. Uncle Bob was the life of the party, a cheerful guy, and a loving family member to all. We love you very much!

So many good memories of times with Bob and Roxanne.  Bob was always good fun, met him my first day of college, Roxanne was my roommate.  Even though it has been years, the thoughts and memories of Bob Springer will always make me smile. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Roxanne and family. 

Roxanne and family...I am so sorry for your loss of such a caring and funny man . Bob was my customer support person at GM when we rolled out the NOF system in the 80’s. Not only was he really smart about how the system was supposed to work, he was very patient when I asked him what I imagine were dumb questions. When he would explain something technical, I would tell him to explain it like he was talking to someone’s grandmother...and he did it easily. He will  be greatly missed by all who knew him. Prayers for your family.

I have so many fun and happy memories of all of the card parties and Halloween parties. The Road Rallies were great fun too. You and Roxanne are one of a kind!  You will be missed! My prayers go to you and your family.

Whether it was playing around of golf with Dinger while he used his Captain Hook driver, having a few too many “Gin-Lemon-7s“ or teasing him about Ohio State Athletics Bob was a joy to be around at all times! My heart felt prayers and condolences go out to all who knew and loved Bob, most importantly Roxanne, Chad, Tara and the rest of Bob’s family and loved ones.
