WILLIAMS, Robert N., age 75, of Rochester, died January 24, 2011; loving husband of Irene; Robert was a veteran of the USMC; retired from GM with 32 yrs. of service; VA Service Officer of Oakland County; 2010 recipient of the “Service Officer of the Year” award for the the State of Michigan; dear father of Patricia (Richard) Cater, Nicholas (Colleen) Williams, Dorothy (Dannie) Haynes, Michael Williams and Katheryn (Jerry) Birr; father to Asad (Martha) Haque; grandfather of Cherie, Ashley, Melissa (Adam), Ryan, Tyler, Bailey, Dakota, Joshua and Marla; great-grandfather of Logan; brother of Ralph Williams, Carol (Ron) Beghin; John (Sandy) Williams and late Anthony Williams. Robert was an active member of USMC League, K of C, Eagles, Moose, Elks Lodge, American Legion and the AMVETS; Funeral service Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester with burial following at 12:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery; visitation Wednesday 12:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
