MONK, Roland R., 61, of Farmington Hills, died August 17, 2016. He was born in Cleveland on November 21, 1954. Ron received his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Lawrence Technological University which he used in his career as a Design Engineer for the Lear Corporation. He was a member of the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers and had a passion for the outdoors, NASCAR and his beloved Detroit Tigers. He is survived by his siblings Susan (Andrew) Hermann, Sharon Fleming and Robert Soltman. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., in downtown Rochester; the family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until time of service.
