DIEDERICH, Ronald Francis, age 60, of Shelby Twp., died Friday, March 16, 2018. Ron was born on August 21, 1957 in Royal Oak to Robert and Regina Diederich. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1975 and went to work for Perry Drugs Headquarters in the I.T. Department. He later joined the Detroit Free Press where he worked as a systems programmer for over 35 years until his retirement in 2015. Ron enjoyed gardening and working in the yard as well as carpentry. He was an all-around handyman, and especially adept at repairing electronics. He was a member of the Fraser Flying Club flying Radio Control Airplanes. He most loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Dahlia. Ron is survived by his son Adam Diederich; granddaughter Dahlia Smith; Brothers & Sisters Robert (Kate) Diederich, Karen (Rick) Meador, Kristine (Jeff) Scheuer, Richard (Tammela) Diederich and Raymond (Kristina ) Diederich. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Wynter Diederich on March 17, 2018, his parents, and his friend April Diederich. The family will receive friends for both Ronald & Wynter on Friday, March 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester. The Funeral Mass for both Ronald & Wynter will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R Road, Rochester Hills, Rev. Fr. Stanly Ulman, celebrant.
