

He was born in Detroit, MI, on August 4, 1940. Ronald graduated from St. Hedwig High School in Detroit. He went on to receive his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Detroit. He furthered his education by obtaining a Masters in Management degree from Central Michigan University.
Ronald was married to Frances on August 31, 1963 and they were married for 60 years. He had a lengthy and successful career in Finance for General Motors. He also served as an adjunct professor at various institutions including St. Mary’s and Walsh College.
Ronald had a passion for woodworking and loved spending time in his workshop. From making jewelry boxes to intricate toys and models, nothing was insurmountable. He enjoyed model trains and creating the layout and design of his train set.
Ronald was always known for his quick wit and his ease of banter. Everyone who encountered him always felt welcomed. Ronald was devoted to his family above all else. He was a humble man who always put his needs aside to help anyone who needed it. Ronald was never afraid to share his feelings. He was a sensitive individual who loved the “feel good” endings of the Hallmark movies he enjoyed watching. Ronald lived his life with honesty and integrity. His legacy is demonstrating a life well lived. He will be missed tremendously as he has touched so many lives from coworkers, to students, to his dear friends and family.
Ronald is predeceased by his wife Frances and his sister Bernadine. He is survived by his children Jeffrey (Sheryl) and Julie Roman. He also was a loving grandfather to Rachael and Ryan Roman and Hannah Cantin.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, Michigan 48307. There will be a private burial at a later date.
