Rose was born the daughter of Joseph and Rita (Grocholski) Szymanski in Roseville, Michigan, on August 17, 1965. She graduated from Roseville High School, class of 1983. Rose met Tony Chila at a Halloween party in 1984, and the couple married on March 3rd, 1989, at St. Donald Catholic Church in Roseville. Rose and Tony started out in Lake Orion and raised their family in Rochester and Auburn Hills. Rose served as a teaching assistant at Living Word Lutheran School in early years. She went on to coach dance and cheer at Lutheran High Northwest including choreographing for musical productions there. Rose also taught gymnastics and cheer at FlipSpot. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Rose was passionate about raising her family. She was a gifted teacher and coach of gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading. Rose loved to train and mentor youth, impacting so many with her joy and love. Rose also enjoyed reading, fashion, and travel, especially to Disney World.
Rose is survived by her loving husband Tony Chila; children Torri (Joan) and Sydney Chila; siblings Mike (Debbie) Szymanski, David (Marilou) Szymanski, Vicki (Michael) LaCharite and James Szymanski; and father-in-law Joseph Chila. Rose was predeceased by her parents.
Visitation will be on Saturday May 2, 2026, from 9am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 1011 West University Drive in Rochester, Michigan.
