Royce Thomas Bailey

Royce Thomas Bailey, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Mary Lucille Bailey; adored father of Tina (Chuck) Jensen, Joyce Bailey, and Steven Bailey; proud grandfather of C.J. Jensen II, Charlie Langevin, Faith Demane; great-grandfather of Alliyah and Ashley; dear brother of the late Charlotte, Brenda, Joan, Ray, and Howard "Butch".

Royce was born on July 13, 1931 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Claude and Stacy Bailey. He served his country with the Air Force from 1951-1955. After serving, he was a loyal machine repairman at General Motors, where he proudly retired after "40 and 4/10ths" years of dedicated service.

The family gratefully thanks the team at Noble Home Care: Diana, Gabriella, Vetta, and Sarah for their kindness and compassion in caring for Royce, to Paul Young from Home Instead for his companionship and dedication to Royce; and to the caregivers from Corpore Sano Hospice. Loving thanks to special care-giver Sharon Garcia.

Military honors will be rendered at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI at 9:30 am on Monday, May 21, 2018. Please meet at the gates at 9:15am.

Your Father will always hold a "Special Place" in Mine & Jody's heart for taking us under his wings when we were going through some rough times. Tina you did a fabulous job in being the daughter he counted on and Loved unconditionally. Our Deepest Condolences to You and the Family. Always remember the good times shared by all.
