Sandra Kay Swartz, 69, of Auburn Hills, MI, passed away January 18, 2019. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 2, 1949 and graduated from Pontiac Northern High where she received her high school diploma. On October 18th, 1969, Sandra married her soul mate, David Swartz and went on to have two beautiful daughters. Sandra worked for over 20 years as a manager in the Service Industry for the Palace of Auburn Hills and was a devoted member of Five Points Community Church.
Sandra’s name means “protector of man”, and she lived up to her name with beautiful grace. She was a woman of rare understanding and of generous heart; always watching and fussing over those she loved. She devoted her entire life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Sandra was always there to listen to words confused by tears and she simply understood them for no other reason than because she loved us. Christmas mornings, road trips that end with sunsets on sandy beaches, and baked beans will never be the same now that she’s gone. If we could have chosen, we would have picked no other than for Sandra to be our life long partner and precious Mother. It breaks our hearts to lose her, but she didn’t go alone, part of us went with her, the day that God called her home. “
Sandra is survived by her husband, David; children, Jennifer Saffron (Mark) and Rebecca Pavlik (Russell) as well as her adoring grandchildren, Gryphon and Lillian Pavlik.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307 from 10AM-1PM with a service at 1PM.
