Sarah was born the daughter of Eugene and Evelyn (Smith) Drake on October 6, 1947, in Orange, New Jersey. She graduated from Redford High School, class of 1965. In 1966, she married Albert Nagy; though they later parted ways, they remained dedicated to their family and children. Sarah lived with her family in Farmington Hills and later Rochester. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan. Sarah had her own counseling practice in Rochester for many years before starting the medical billing software company EZClaim with her son Al.
Sarah loved her family and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with family, and sharing stories of her childhood. She also enjoyed thunderstorms on her front porch, biking, and walking, especially with friends.
Sarah is survived by her children Albert (Michelle) Nagy and Andrea (Craig) Fetterman; grandchildren Albert and Emily Nagy, and Evelyn and Greta Fetterman; and sisters Sharon Gould, Marlene Overheul, Darlene Selph, Dianne Haviland, and Linda Rachel Pfent.
Sarah’s family will hold a celebration of life in her honor at a later date.
