Scott Adams

Scott is survived by his parents; his wife, Lisa; his children, Griffin and Peyton Adams; his sister, Sharen (Wayne)Sawitzky.

Scott was born on March 29, 1965, in Lakenheath, England to Vernon and Carole Lee (Glassburn) Adams. He worked for Futuramic Tool and Engineering for 29 years. He was up every morning at 3:30 a.m. for work and he loved his job. On October 23, 1987, he married Lisa, a photographer and his high school sweetheart. He served four years in the Navy and was an extremely proud American. Lisa and Scott welcomed their two beautiful children, who were the most important part of his life.

Scott was a devoted husband, father and son. He cherished his wife Lisa and she was the love of his life. He loved his mom and would drive hours just to fix her a meal to make her feel special. He was extremely proud of his son, Griffin. When Griffin started playing football, Scott found a home for himself on the “chain gang” for the football team to be close to Griffin. He adored his daughter, Peyton. He loved to watch her cheerlead and was proud to wear “Dad Gear” at her competitions.

Scott loved boating and all water sports. He enjoyed spending time with friends. He was an excellent chef and his specialties were ribs, fish fry’s, filet mignon and baking. He loved to make surprise deliveries of food and candy that he made to his friends and neighbors. Scott loved to sing and was a member of CMI for 10 years. Scott loved CMI. He worked tirelessly to make it easier on everyone else, taking on whatever job was begging for attention. His smile…his warm bass voice and his commitment to CMI’s mission will all be absent…but his love will always remain.

Scott will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Over these past months we have prayed for Scott’s complete healing. We have claimed the promises of God in a very faith-filled way. But God…! And now He is gone and we feel the huge loss. How much more Lisa, Peyton and Griffin most certainly feel the emptiness.

There is the unshakeable confidence that “to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8) Scott’s pain is gone. His struggle is over. He is home.

Now we must bind up the brokenhearted. We must pick up the slack, we must pray for the family and do good to the household of faith. We will not let go of Scott’s many eternal contributions. His is a legacy for all of us to be proud of, value, cherish and honor. Until that moment when we all dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

A visitation for Scott will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Orchard Ridge Church, 64600 Mound Rd, Washington, MI 48095. The burial will be Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lakeville Cemetery, 825 Drahner Rd, Leonard, MI 48367.
