

Sharon worked in customer service, where her steady presence and practical care for others were reflected in the everyday ways she helped people. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed board games, Words with Friends, competition reality shows, shopping, and—most of all—time spent with family. Her presence lit up every room she entered. Her strength and tenacity was an inspiration to her family, she tackled any obstacle that stood in the way of her goals.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Natalie Hall and Victoria (Michael) Nicholls; siblings Darlene Polk, Marilyn (Alan) Doebler, Richard (Mary) Polk, Cynthia (Robert) Nowakowski, and Gregory (Kathleen) Polk; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her granddog, Trixie Nicholls.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Betty Polk, and many granddogs.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family. Letters may be mailed to Pixley Funeral Home so they can be forwarded to the family.
Sharon made the selfless decision to donate her body to Oakland University School of Medicine, continuing her legacy on into the future.
