Sharon E. Long

LONG, Sharon Lidgard, 64, of Auburn Hills, surrendered to lung cancer on February 13, 2012. Sharon is survived by her three children: Kelly J. Long Pridgen (Donald) of Atlanta, Georgia; Robert Long, Jr. of Auburn Hills; and Kimberly Long of Atlanta, Georgia. Sharon was the beloved grandma of Jack and Max Pridgen. She is survived by her big sister, Dian Mather (Kenny), little sister, Leann Rice, and baby brother, Bruce Lidgard (Ruth), dozens of devoted nieces and nephews and best friend, Sally Ganshaw. Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Avondale High School and long time Kroger cashier. She was a decent carpenter, faithful television viewer, ardent reader, pianist, impressive typist and most importantly a top notch grandmother. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Long, her parents, Wayne and Evelyn (Hall) Lidgard and dear friend, Sharon Wright. Visitation Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester; Funeral service Friday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
