

Sidney Ann Beck, 88, of Lake Orion, Michigan, passed away on March 22, 2026. Born December 7, 1937, Sidney lived a life defined by steady faith, generous service, and a deep, abiding love for others. After this introduction, “Sidney” will be remembered simply as Sid—devoted, loyal, and full of love for her family and all God’s children.
Sid Christian, carried her faith not as a label but as a daily practice—quietly lived, sincerely offered, and freely shared. She pursued her education with determination, earning two degrees: one in nursing and one in Social Services.
For more than 50 years, Sid served as a nurse, giving her time, skill, and compassion to countless people. Her work was never just a job; it was an extension of who she was—someone who showed up, stayed steady, and cared.
She is survived by her children Laura, Richard, Paul, Maria, Matthew, and Alicia. She loved them with a constant, unmistakable devotion that shaped the home and the hearts around her.
Beyond her family and career, Sid gave herself to the wider world. She was a part of the Peacekeepers and was missioned in Haiti, offering help where it was needed and doing so with humility and purpose.
Sid never really had much, but she always gave. That was her way—open-handed, tender-hearted, and unwavering. Her legacy is not measured in what she kept, but in what she shared: love, loyalty, faith, and a lifetime of service that reached far beyond herself.
A Funeral Service will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307, US, on March 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm and visitation will follow the service from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
