Stanley M. Stroh of Shelby Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was born on May 28, 1940 to Stanley and Annette (Walters) Stroh. He married Sharon DeLlowe on March 18, 1961 at St. John Lutheran Church in Rochester, Michigan. They recently celebrated 63 beautiful years of marriage and wonderful memories. His loving wife Sharon preceded him in death on May 4, 2024.
Stanley retired from Ford Motor Sterling Axle Plant after an outstanding career of 35 years as a Job Setter. He was passionate about and took great pride in his ability to solve and fix just about any mechanical problem. Stanley was proud to be a strong UAW member, attended union Christmas parties with Sharon, and enjoyed sharing updates with fellow union members.
In his younger years, Stan loved to hunt and fish, spending almost every November in Atlanta and Glennie with his dad and brother looking for those big bucks. Stan and Sharon spent their summers at their cottage in Clare on the lake fishing and enjoying time with family.
Stanley is survived by his siblings; Bob (Kathy) Stroh and Elaine Bjornson, sister in-law Goldie Ruscoe and brother in-law Larry (Marilee) DeLlowe, and the following nieces and nephews; Deborah Moeller, Elizabeth Findlay, Jessica Bowman, Annette Kinney, Jenny Stroh, Robin Helfant, Sue Smith, Karen Smith, Kevin Stroh, Allen Bjornson, Kimberly Ruscoe, Kerry Ruscoe, Dean Ruscoe, Nancy Peterson, Rick Quitmeyer, Clayton DeLlowe, Craig DeLlowe, David DeLlowe, Delores Dixson, Joy Satterlie, Stu Stuart, and many great nieces and nephews. Stanley is preceded in death by his brother Louis Stroh, sister in-laws Joan Quitmeyer and Betty Westphal, brother in-laws Stuart DeLlowe, Charles (Skip) DeLlowe, nephew Robert Ruscoe and niece Doris Allen.
Stanley's family will hold a visitation on Friday August 2nd, 2024 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at noon at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Entombment will be at Christian Memorial Gardens in Rochester Hills.
