Sue was born the daughter of Herbert and Joan (Laughlin) Killby in Detroit, Michigan on October 5, 1943. Her early years were spent in Royal Oak, later moving to Rochester, where she attended Rochester High School. She married the love of her life, Leleand Fifield on November 5, 1960.
In her earlier years Sue was an avid reader and excellent bowler. Sue enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved attending dance recitals, motocross events, wrestling matches, cheerleading events, football games, and band concerts.
Sue is survived by her children Adam (Kasey) Fifield and Erin (Dane) Fox; daughter-in-law Julie Fifield; grandchildren Chelsea (Nitin), Kendal (Tyler), Shanna (Jeff), Nicole, Darci (Thomas), Leanne (Boyd), Jesse Lee, and Devon (Joe); great-grandchildren Archie, Alyssa, Matthew, Dominic, Leleand, Nathan, Skyley, Harper, and Alex; and great-great grandson Legend. Sue is also survived by sisters Sara Lowes and Marne (Rob) Thompson.
Sue was predeceased by her husband Leleand in 1993; son Daniel in 2017; father Herb Killby and parents Ken and Joan Lowes.
Sue’s family will welcome all to a memorial gathering on Thursday August 31st, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service which will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Interment will be private at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.
