

THOMASSON, Susan Jean, age 55, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away December 16, 2015. She was born to Cliff and Isabel Bath on October 5, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. Sue graduated from Lahser High School in 1978, later receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Albion College in economics where she was also a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
Sue dedicated her life to serving her community and the people in her life. She sat on a plethora of boards dedicated to domestic outreach including: Cass Community Social Services, Methodist Children’s Homes Society of Redford, Sarah Van Hoosen Jones Quester’s, the Rochester Community Schools Foundation and the Parent Teacher Association of both Hamlin Elementary School and Rochester High School. She was incredibly passionate about history, social services, taking trips up north to places like Glen Arbor and Traverse City, pugs, sweet treats, anything Disney, baseball, and all things Michigan and Detroit oriented, especially the Tigers! She had a hand in just about everything that involved helping people. As passionate as Sue was about all of these things, she was even more dedicated to her children and family.
Mother of Brittany (David Deeg) Thomasson, Lauren Thomasson, and Austin Thomasson; daughter of Cliff and Isabel Bath; and sister of Marianne (Jack) Conner and their daughter Elizabeth.
Memorial gathering to take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., in downtown Rochester. Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Birmingham, 1589 W. Maple Rd., Birmingham, Rev. Faith Fowler officiating.
