Tommy Joe Tucker

Tommy was born on September 15, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents, Hyman and Iceie Alma Tucker. He was the youngest of six siblings.

Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, completing two tours of service as a weapons mechanic. Following his military career, he worked as a Master mechanic for General Dynamics, where he eventually retired.

Tommy had many passions throughout his life. He was an avid golfer, a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, and loved nothing more than riding his motorcycles. He was a man who appreciated the simple pleasures of life and treasured the time spent with his family and friends.

Tommy was a loving father to Thea Lockard, Susan Landers, Linda (Robert) Rutkowski, Sally Drake, and Patricia (Richard) Ratka. He was a beloved grandfather to Scott, Jennifer, Dustin, Jessica, Adam, Robert, Christopher, Randy, Victoria, Olivia, Nathan, and Nicholas. He is also survived by many cherished great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Tucker; his sons, Craig Tucker and Michael Tucker;and his grandson, Bradley Kennedy. His son Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Fayme.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Troy Christian Chapel 400 E Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48085.

Tommy will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Gardens West, 521 E Hamlin Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
