Venita Ann Burton Taylor, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on February 28, 2021 at the age of 66. She was born in Salisbury, Maryland on September 19, 1954. Venita earned her Bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University and then went on to receive her Master’s degree from Webster University. She married her beloved husband Mike Taylor on January 3, 1987. Venita honorably served her country as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army. She worked for General Motors Corporation as a senior buyer. Outside of work, Venita belonged to the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., the Divas Readers Club, and the Nanticoke Indian Association. When she had some free time she loved to go golfing, read a good book, enjoy some physical fitness workouts, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Mike Taylor of Rochester Hills, Michigan; mother June Burton of Millsboro, Delaware; brother Clay (Debby) Burton of Atlanta, Georgia; and nieces Jasmine and Courtney Burton of Atlanta, Georgia.
