Wade was born on April 4, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Bernard Leo and C. Mae (Radosta) LeBlanc. Wade was raised in Stoughton, Massachusetts, and was a 1968 graduate of Stoughton High School. He received a BFA in Graphic Arts and Architectural Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He went on to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts assisting with social work and quality control for medical and vocational Disability Determination Services. Throughout his life he applied his artistic ability to his surroundings and enjoyed making things more appealing to the eye. Together with his husband Don, Wade totally remodeled their home inside and out. Every part of their home reflected his appreciation for art and design. Outdoors, his passion for gardening, landscaping and hardscaping were reflected in his work. Brick patios, pathways, and greenery were put together to make their yard look like their own private park. Wade also enjoyed music and movies. You could often find him listening to Motown and music from the 50’s and 60’s or watching 1930’s era black-and-white films. Wade was a life-long cat lover, and cats were his constant companions.
Wade is survived by his husband of 13 years, Don Kensler; siblings Lynne Lebeaux, Kim (Michael) Ventresco and Roy (Margie) LeBlanc; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard Leo and C. Mae (Radosta) LeBlanc, and brother-in-law Mark Lebeaux.
Wade will always be remembered for his love and kindness, his thoughtfulness to others, his charity, and for his uplifting spirit and laughter.
