Bill was born February 18, 1943, to Aloysius and Albina (Kolis) Gould, in Detroit, Michigan. Bill married Barbara Kulczycki on April 24,1965, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren. Father Bretz, a family friend from St. Luke's Catholic Church in Detroit where Bill and Barb met, performed the wedding ceremony. Bill and Barb subsequently raised their 3 children (Cindy, Todd and Becky) in Sterling Heights. Bill had a career as a Skilled Trades Electrician for Chrysler at the Mack Stamping Plant and later at the Warren Stamping Plant. He retired in 2001. Bill was a longtime member of the UAW Local 869 and was a Trustee of the Retiree chapter.
Bill and Barb loved taking their motorhome to MSU Spartan Football games. They also traveled to Lake Leelanau for as long as a month for many summers enjoying the company of family and friends. Bill enjoyed his Royal Caribbean Cruises to Hawaii, Panama Canal, and especially the two Anniversary Caribbean cruises where he brought children and grandchildren to celebrate their 40th and 50th Anniversaries.
Bill enjoyed spending time with family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren's activities. Whether it was dance, band, or games of baseball, softball, basketball, cross country and lacrosse, he was always there to support and cheer on his grandchildren. Bill was a skilled bowler with an average over 200 and was a member of Polish Falcons of America, UAW and local bowling teams and leagues over the years. Bill was proud of his Polish Heritage and celebrated this by playing the accordion, Polka dancing, and as a proud member of Polish Falcons of America Nest 86, Hamtramck, MI.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 60 years; children Todd Gould and Becky (Jason) Yeske; Son in law Mark McPherson; Papa Dziadzia to Grant McPherson, Claire McPherson, Bella Yeske, Brooke McPherson, and Molly Yeske; brother Thomas (Rosemary) Gould; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his daughter Cindy McPherson; his parents; and siblings Robert Gould and Christine Agnello.
Bill’s family will receive all for a visitation on Tuesday May 6, 2025, from 4-8pm, and Wednesday May 7, 2025, from 1-8pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 8, 2025, at 11am (10:30am instate), at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, located at 771 Old Perch Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Luncheon to follow at the Polish American Cultural Center in Troy, MI.
