William Rowland Newson

NEWSON, William R., age 71, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Shelby Twp., passed away March 26, 2014. He was born July 1, 1942, graduated from Wayne State University, and founded Business Communication Systems, Inc. in 1975. He located his business in Rochester and retired in 1997. He enjoyed spending his free time playing golf, boating and maintaining his interest in automobiles. For many years he was a member of St. Kieran Catholic Church in Shelby Twp. and also attended Mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rochester. He was a committed member of AA of Rochester and had been since 1991. He was the loving husband of Betty (nee Schaller) Newson since September 28, 1963. Dearest father of Michael (Laura) Newson, Jeffrey (Dawn) Newson and Christopher Newson. Also surviving Mr. Newson are his. sister, Barbara (Tom) Schreiber, and his seven, soon-to-be eleven grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester with inurnment of his cremated remains to follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Rochester.
