Andrew Q. Jamison

Andrew Quentin Jamison, passed away peacefully at the age of 88, on June 22, 2026, at his home in Fairport, NY, with his son, Ken, and daughter-in-law, Paula, by his side. He was born on January 28,1938 in Ithaca, NY.

He was predeceased by his parents; Charles Chambers Jamison and Dortothy Kennedy Jamison; siblings; Jim, Alan, Ron, Larry, Blair, Manuel, Marilyn, Shirley, and Barbie; daughter; Kathy Ingraham; and wives; June [Aurelio] Jamison and Claire [Read] Jamison.

Andy is survived by his loving children; Alan (Becky) Jamison, Ken (Paula) Jamison, Richard (Tammy) Weeks, Rick (Judy) Ingraham, and Claudia Peck-Kiousis; as well as his much-loved grandchildren; Jason and Jayme, Chris and Amanda, Lexy and Derek, Maggie and Emily. Great-grandchildren; Layla and Brandon, Luke and Daisy, Ryan and Jack, Adrian and Cameron, Trevor and Jake. He is also survived by his first wife, Shirley [Cook] Weeks.

Andy studied German Literature at Cornell University, Class of 1959, where he was proud to be selected to play on the Cornell Freshman basketball team. He was a defensive force to contend with. He continued his studies at Ithaca College earning a B.S. in Accounting. He worked in numerous management positions at Rochester Telephone Corp (now Frontier). There he held positions such as Director of Internal Auditing and Manager of Accounting Operations. Andy earned the national designation as a Certified Internal Auditor all after starting his employment in the Mail Room. He loved playing softball with the Rochester Tel Team; consisting of all Linemen and Construction Trades employed by Rochester Tel. He was the only management employee invited, playing 3rd base on a very successful team.

Andy took his accounting skills, personality, and willingness to help to Bay Pointe Condominiums in North Ft. Myers, FL in 1987. He stayed active there with many friends and activities. HE WAS A VERY SOCIAL MAN! He loved taking friends and family to lunch and dinner. Andy was also very active in the Fairport Methodist Church in NY and All Souls Episcopal Church in North Ft. Myers, FL.

Splitting his time in Florida and New York, Andy was enrolled with Rochester United Health Hospice. His hospice team gave him a whole extra year and a half of good health under their care. Our family is forever grateful to them.

He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
