

Rochester: Passed away peacefully, after a brave battle with dementia on Saturday, June 4, 2016 with family and friends by her side, at age 94.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward D. Phillips, her parents, Angelina Salerno & Michael Cavalcanti, and all of her siblings.
Survived by her children and devoted caregivers, Julie Ann (James) Phillips-Oriel, and John Edward (Karen Galliford) Phillips; grandchildren: Patrick (Danielle), Natalie, James, Joseph, & Samantha; great-grandchildren: Giovanni, Onallee, Zackary, Zoey, & Jaiden; special niece & nephew, Rick & Francine Coryea; Godson, Brian; cousin, Nicholas, and many nieces, nephews & dear friends.
Anna worked for 18 years as an assembly worker at Taylor Instruments, where she met the love of her life, Edward. She also worked at St. Helen’s School in the cafeteria for 20 years.
Anna was a 54 year member of St. Helen’s Church, and also a member of the Gates Senior Club. She was an avid gardener, cook, baker, and reader. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. But above all else she always loved sharing time with her family.
She is deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Relatives & friends may call on Wed., June 8th from 4-7PM at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thurs. June 9th, at 11:00AM at St. Helen’s Church, 310 Hinchey Rd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd. Rochester, NY 14620.
