Anne (Haran) Nowak

Anne is survived by her daughter Jessica Baszuk; her mother Ann Haran; sisters Cecelia (John) Sharp, Maureen (Thomas) Gallagher; brother John (Tina) Haran; stepchildren Allan (Lyndsey) Nowak, Matthew (Kimberly) Butler, Kimberly (Matthew) Burgess, Sarah (Charles) Vogt; nieces Olivia Gallagher, Samantha Haran; nephews Christopher (Samantha) Sharp, Andrew Sharp, Ian (Lindsay) Gallagher, Johnny Haran; cousins, great niece and nephews, and many dear friends.

Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David P. Nowak, and her father, Patrick J. Haran.

Anne was born February 27, 1963, in Toronto, Canada. Anne’s family moved to the Rochester area in 1969. Anne was a graduate of St. Agnes High School, Brighton, NY. She recently retired after 25 years at Monroe One BOCES, Creekside School. As a Paraprofessional, Anne cared for her students with endless compassion, kindness, and love. Anne’s care and empathy for others were felt by so many throughout her life, including her extended family, friends, and neighbors. Anne was a caregiver for her daughter Jessica, her late husband, David, and her mother, Ann. She will be remembered as always putting others’ needs before her own.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
