She is survived by her beloved husband, Marc. They would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on February 29th. She is also survived by her brother, John Perry, of San Antonio, TX.
Born on December 27, 1946 in Weslaco, TX, she was preceded in death by her parents, Winnie Opal Pike Perry and Howard McCormick Perry.
After graduating from High School, Barbara attended Pan American College before moving to Washington, D.C. to work for the FBI. Washington is where she met the love of her life, Marc. Shortly after they moved to Rochester, NY, where they have lived ever since.
Barbara loved to read, as evidenced by the hundreds of books she possessed. Besides reading, she was especially passionate about her pets, two dogs and two cats. In her neighborhood, she was known as “the lady always walking her dogs”. Another of her loves was vanning and camping, which she and Marc did frequently, and gave them the opportunity to meet and make many new friends along the way.
She will be greatly missed by all who and loved her including her dear friends, family and extended family that includes Marc’s brothers and sister.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the ASPCA or your local Humane Society.
