My condolences to the family, your wife, mother, sister and friend was truly a beautiful gift from God. In my youth BJ encouraged me to seek the Lord when my life was so troubled & To carry him in everything I do.  Before Madea made WWJD popular, BJ was citing that phrase longggggg ago and kept the phrase humming along in my heart. She gave me words of encouragement and spoke to me as a mother when I didn't have one. She taught me how my talents and unique abilities made me special, not what others thought of me but what Jesus thought of me. Her life lessons and inspiring words stayed with me throughout my troubled times and lead me into a successful adult path with God. I know she was God sent, I will never forget her. I am so so sorry for your loss, Your mom was one of the best friends I will ever have, she had such a wonderful wisdom about her and never judged me just loved me, and I will never forget her love and kindness. The only peace I have is knowing she is in heaven and will never again feel pain.

My hearts are prayers are with u all at this time. The years have separated us far apart but my memories are as clear as if they were only yesterday. I spent several of my most impressionable years in the closeness of your family. I was babysitter to all you Armstrong sisters thru the good friendship of your sister Kathy. BettyJo welcomed me into her home and shared her kindness & her thoughts on spirituality at times while exploring her own journey. I always remember that she told me and it has always stuck with me to this day that" I should get up and get dressed everyday and NOT sit around in my pj's and sloppy clothes cuz that makes u fat and sloppy"...and she was right!!! ..lol..
