It was an honor knowing you and the beautiful family you raised.  Cathy and Jeremy always were happy at home with you.  I felt like part of the clan when I was there.  Due to poor health, I cannot be at your memorial but you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jean, I was sad to learn of your mother's passing.  It is always hard to lose a parent, no matter our age.  Please share my condolences with your family, and may her memory be a blessing and bring comfort in the days and months ahead.

After I moved to Colorado in 1988, my parents would come visit occasionally. The picture is from a visit in the spring, taken at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park (BTW, there was about 3 feet of snow on the ground in May).  It turns out my Mom was afraid of flying, but managed the trip when she flew with my Dad. Offers from any of my sisters to fly with her didn't budge her.  Only my Dad could do that...

Miss them both.

My favorite memory of Lil is of her and Joseph at the table talking.  Jean said to Joseph "go be with the kids."  Joseph said no, he was fine talking to Lil.  He liked talking to older people.  Lil told Jean "we're fine here.  You can go." Joseph even skipped going to a party to go to a get together at Jean's so he could visit Lil.

Your mom was one special lady, always smiling and very kind to myself & all of my family. I loved having her as an extra "Mom" of the neighborhood. We were blessed to have our childhood when we did, surrounded by so many good neighbors like your parents!!
Even when I was grown, and I'd go to church with my parents I'd see her in the parking lot, waving and smiling at me. Warms my heart!!
May all of the treasured memories you have etched upon your heart of your beautiful Mom help carry you through these rough waters.

My Mom was the ultimate caregiver. She learned from the best – her Mom and all her older brothers and sisters who doted on their baby sister Lillian. In the 40’s she was a candy striper at St. Mary’s Hospital.  She had nieces and nephews to dote on herself as a single auntie and was godmother to several of them. Mom also took on the responsibility of giving Eleanor her B-12 injections and took turns caring for her mother at the end of her life. After Dad’s retirement, she and my Dad would make the rounds visiting her older sisters in their homes; something Mom continued after Dad passed. She frequently visited Roselyn in the nursing home and got her out of her room to participate in unit activities.
Then, of course, there was the six of us and all our childhood illnesses and fractures and perhaps a few antics. Nevertheless, she kept on nurturing us right to adulthood. As Dad’s health issues arose, Mom became his wound care specialist for his neuropathic feet and taxied him to cardiac rehab sessions until the day he died. When grandchildren started arriving in her 50’s, she had another generation to love and care for. Mom did an excellent job on this assignment. Just ask my children; like the one who stopped with Grandma to have ice cream at Russell’s before lunch when he got out of A.M. nursery school. Or the one who stop by to cook dinner and keep Grandma company after Grandpa passed and helped with her care after her fall and hip repair.
Mom did a great job leading by example and she and Dad produced some of the most wonderful and caring people I know. My big sister (who called Mom almost every day of her adult life (until Mom couldn’t use the phone anymore) and baby sister who did so much to care for Mom especially these last 20 years of widowhood and then physical and cognitive decline and my brothers who called home every week since they left home. My generation created some pretty wonderful and caring human beings as well. I guess she lives on that way. XO

I remember Aunt Lillian as a candid, funny and lively person.  She used to tell my mother with us little girls visiting, of all her funny adventures in life.  

My mother Wilma Casper told me that back in the day when she first started going out with my dad, Paul Casper, they used to pick up Lillian and take her square dancing with them.  Sometimes they would  go with Uncle Eugene too.  

As a child, when I did something funny, Mom would say “You remind me of Lillian.”  I took it as a compliment.

Please accept our  condolences on the loss of your Mom.  We know how close you were and how much you meant to each other.  May wonderful memories of her bring you and your family peace and comfort during this difficult time.  Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember Aunt Lillian when my sister Pam and I were quite young, treating us to a girl's day which included lunch and shopping.  We were at Grandma and Grandpa Casper's home on Prescott Street and after lunch Lil (who was engaged to uncle Chuck at the time) took us upstairs to her room to show us her wedding dress which was on a hanger on the back of her bedroom door.  I seem to recall iridescent sequins that made the gown shimmer and sparkle.  We were in awe of this 'fairy princess gown' and veil!  We traveled by bus to a little department store somewhere (maybe Thurston Rd?) where she purchased Pam and I each a pretty cardigan sweater in the color of our choice, (so soft) with pearl buttons.  We adored her then and to the very end of her long wonderful life.  Go with God Aunt Lillian.

I recognized that beautiful face of your Mom, Mrs. Kase without looking at the name.   She was such a kind and loving person to everyone she knew on Medfield Drive and a blessing to me to have met her.    Another sweet angel with Jesus      Love Carole

My funniest memory of Mrs. Kase was one Saturday evening,  young Tom was not home on time. We were, of course, on Stanton Street playing Frisbee.  Someone yelled "car". It was a car alright! It was Lil in that canary yellow Nova, curlers in her hair and she came down Stanton Street, came to a halt and said "Thomas Charles Kase get in this car." We all said "See ya tomorrow Tom!" Tom waved goodbye got in car and they zoomed down Stanton to Wilbur to Prescott street. That was like 1981 or 1982! Hilarious.  
Good times playin in the street til street lights came on or, your mom zipped around the corner in that yellow car to grab you! 😂😂😂
Rest easy Mrs. Kase. You are loved and missed by all those whose lives you touched.  😘
