

Floyd was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Eilleen Young; his mother and stepfather, Edith & Carl Turnquist, his father, Floyd H. Young, a brother, Ralph Young, and a nephew, Robert Young.
He is survived by his children: Dolores (James) Jakubowski, Teresa Augrom, and Steven (Cheryl) Young; grandchildren: David (Carrie) Jakubowski, Sara Jakubowski, Jamie (Chad) Moran, Russell (Christina) Henning, Kevin (Amber) Henning, and Aaron (Amy) Henning; as well as 11 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Peggy Young, Karen (Ron) Cole, and Jane Fell brother-in-law, Dennis (Cheryl) Fell, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his beloved cat, Bandit.
Floyd was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, who served on the USS Benner. He retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Company after a 37 year career. He was an avid HAM radio operator and an automobile history buff.
The Young family would like to extend a special thank you to the people at the Manor House Independent Living Facility in Batavia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, Rochester, NY, but services will take place at the H.E. Turner & Co., Inc. Funeral Home, 403 E Main St, Batavia, NY 14020, where relatives & friends may call from 10AM-12PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022, followed immediately by a funeral service at 12:00pm. Entombment to follow in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
