

Frank Louis Montalbano Jr., 75 of Rochester, NY (formerly of Rome, New York) entered into rest on August 27, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Frank was at home wrapped in love surrounded by his family.
Frank was born on May 16, 1947, to the late Frank and Loretta Mulcahey Montalbano in Rome, New York.
Frank graduated with honors from Mohawk Valley Community College with an Associate degree in Accounting.
Frank entered a loving and devoted marriage to Joyce Dashnaw on June 24, 1966, which spanned 56 years and from this union six children were born. After working for Revere Copper Products for many years in both the Rolling Mill and as a Union Leader, he retired from Revere. During this time, Frank also began his own business, as he was an expert Tree Surgeon. He was the owner of Montalbano Tree Service, which transitioned into Montalbano and Son Tree Service. Throughout his life the love of the outdoors was reflected in the skills he utilized as a respected tree man.
In his free time, Frank loved to bowl where he was able to accomplish multiple 700 game series. He achieved the coveted 300 single game and received the 300 ring to honor the occasion.
Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. Frank is survived by his loving wife Joyce and his five children. His five surviving children include, Brenda LaGasse (Donald) FL, Patricia Capoccetta (Vinny) FL, Frank Montalbano III (Lori) NY, Toni Piersall (Patrick Kealy)NY and Bianca Rudy (Richard) NY. Grandchildren: Jason LaGasse (Olivia) CO, Shawn M Crever (Amber) NY, Sabrina Pezzula FL, Andrew LaGasse FL, Keilani Capoccetta (Dominque) FL, Samantha LaGasse FL, Zachary Crever FL, David Paul Piersall Jr NY, Hunter Smith NY, Gianna Montalbano NY, Adrianna Piersall NY, David Russo NY, Nick Russo (Debbie) NY, Erin McLaughlin FL, Matthew McLaughlin NY, Vinny Capoccetta Jr. FL Great Grandchildren; Jayden, Giovanni, Brayden and Giuliana Crever, Brian, Kyle and Aliana LaGasse.
Frank was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Stacey and Leona Fuller, his brother, Michael Montalbano and his beloved son, Ronald Lewis Montalbano. He is survived by three brothers and a sister: Joseph Maloof, Philip William Montalbano (Ascenza), Max Montalbano (Star) and Margarita Beckwith (Donald) and his devoted brother-in-law Chuck Dashnaw (Michelle), as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours for Frank will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica's Church, 831 Genesee St., Rochester, NY 14619.
