

Genevieve (Jean) T. Zeller, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at age 96, on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-three years, Stanley, and daughter Paula Treggett; and brothers John, Walter and Stanley Cebula. Survived by daughters Marcia (William) Opperman and Claudia (Thomas) Ciresi; step-grandson Eric (Carolyn) Ciresi; great-grandchildren Colton and Aubrey Ciresi; niece/sister Felicia Krolczyk; nieces, nephews and friends; extended family, Janice, John and Harrington Yarborough and Cady Glaubinger (Ben Hart), daughter Cecelia Hart, Judy and Emma Glaubinger.
Jean was a retired timekeeper of Eastman Kodak/Elmgrove Division. She was a longtime resident of the 19th Ward and a fifty-year member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, active in the Rosary & Altar Society as well as a Girl Scout Leader for the parish’s troop. She served in the U. S. Marine Corps and participated in Honor Flight Rochester #24. She will be remembered for her loving devotion and caregiving to her family.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 5th, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Avenue. A Memorial Mass in celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Friday, May 6th, at St. Monica’s Church, 831 Genesee Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Veterans Outreach Center, 791 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.
