George Herbert Schudel

George Herbert Schudel, of Rochester, New York passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025 at age 87. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Donna Sue; and his brothers, Fred and Ted Schudel. George is survived by his children, Robert (Mary) Schudel, Stephen (Danuta) Schudel, Teri (Joe) Vieira, Michael Schudel, and Melody Schudel; grandchildren, Benjamin, Gregory (Jennifer), Matthew (Brittany), Daniel, Daniela, Eluis, Ava, and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Levi, Ethan, Caleb, Orion, Leo, Jackson, and Priscilla. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many friends from John Marshall High School, with whom he still kept in touch.

George loved to sing and never turned down a chance at karaoke. Even after losing his sight, he never let blindness stop him from doing what he loved. George learned to use a computer, played chess and continued to golf. He took on every challenge, and kept living life on his terms. A proud veteran, George was involved with the VFW, American Legion, and was a member of the Moose Lodge. His sense of humor and determination inspired everyone around him. George's legacy is one of perseverance, finding joy in simple things, and letting nothing hold you back.

A visitation for George will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, New York 14624, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in memory of George to the Alzheimer's Association.
