Dear Wind family (and Schifinos)

Our thoughts are with you as you say goodbye to your mom and your sister.  The oldest of the cousins Geraldine was the sweetest and most caring person and really the cousin you could rely on when we all younger.  We will be thinking of you all during the coming days. Maurice and Leslie and family.

Geri and I have been friend's for about 40 year's.  Our husband's worked together at Jet Bldg. Supply where we shared numerous trips and wonderful fun times thanks to Bob and Tom.  We also shared the same wedding anniversary on Oct.29th, 1966.  She was married one hour longer than Tom and me.  The four of us always celebrated our special date together.  After Tom passed, Bob and Geri invited me to dinner with them.  After Bob passed Geri and I went out to dinner! This October 29th will be especially sad for me.I will remember happier times with Tom, Geri and Bob.  Geri will be remembered as the most gentle, caring and considerate person I know.  She was a great wife, mom and forever friend.  May you rest in peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mom.  As a former neighbor on Flamingo Drive she was always a loving person and her family was her life.  I can't believe that both your mom and dad died so young. I didn't even know that she was sick. We always talked when we saw each other at church and exchanged stories about our grandchildren and how proud we were of them. I am heartbroken, and all I can say is that she and your dad will be watching over you and I pray that your memories will give you comfort.  She missed your dad so much and now they can have one more dance in heaven. They raised a beautiful family, so stay close and love each other. My prayers for all of you.

I met Gerri over 22  years ago when we both worked at the University of Rochester together.  We had many fun times and lots of laughs.  Our friendship continued after I left the University 20 year ago to raise my children.  We enjoyed dinners out a couple times a year and kept in touch.  Her family was the most important part of her life, and she always had stories and pictures to share.  She was a wonderful friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Dear Wind family
Words are not sufficient to express my sorrow with you all and for you all.  Working with your Dad for many years and coming to the house often was a great opportunity to get to know your Mom and all you kids.  She was so welcoming and caring and fun-I just loved being at your house.  She will be missed but most importantly, not forgotten as she lives on in our memories and through your lives!!!!

This is hearbreaking for me. Geraldine was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met in my life. And she just happened to be my GODmother. I was so blessed by this gift from my parents and GOD. There is definitely a place for you in heaven and please say hi to my family for me. I love you with all my heart!

Gerri was born in England and although only 10 at the time I remember pushing her in her baby carriage sometimes when air-raids were on.  She was a much loved first grandchild and her grand parents were so sad when she left for the USA as we all were.  Our thoughts and love are with her young family at this time.  Aunt Vera and Uncle Bob.

Growing up I had occasional fights with my brothers as brothers seem to do. But in all the years of my life I never had anything but a strong love and total respect for my sister Gerri. She was the most kind and caring person I have ever known within and outside our family. And I will miss her dearly, especially our weekly conversations on the telephone. We had a lot of laughs during our talks and a lot of fond shared memories growing up that I will always hold close to my heart. Rest peacefully now my Big Sister.
