He was born in Rochester, NY, on July 6, 1949.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon & Betty Kastner.
He is survived by his son, Matthew (Sarah) Kastner; sister, Bonnie Armstrong; and brother, Bill (Chris) Kastner, as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Jim was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Xerox for many years with a mechanical engineering group. After leaving Xerox, Jim started his own handyman business, serving Webster and surrounding towns.
Jim was an avid tennis player, playing several hours each week. He also had a great love for animals, especially his passion for horses and horseback riding.
Per Jim's wishes there will be no funeral service or calling hours.
