Jim, was born on December 30, 1945, in Phoenix AZ, and lived his teenage years in Crocker, MO. He completed high school there and after graduating immediately enlisted in the United States Navy, where he would go one to graduate from electronics school with an A rating. He served on the HSS Wainwright as an electronics technician.
Subsequently he graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Science degree. His wife-to-be was found in Indianapolis: they had Emily who now has 2 boys of her own: Joey(9) and Connor(6), followed by Brian shortly thereafter, who now has 2 boys as well: Mason(5) & Hank(2). He worked for Hewlett Packard here in Pittsford, NY for many years while being a husband, a father and an excellent parent!
He instilled in his son a love of fishing, hiking and the outdoors. He had a fabulous brain and could complete NY Times puzzles in ink! Wanderlust took him back to Arizona. In 2008, he became a widow. Shortly thereafter, he would retire from the computer industry, and then devoted his time to volunteering in a myriad of activities from hospice to Wild at Heart (raptor rescue), and also continuing his outdoor hiking.
In 2010, Jim met his future wife, Jean Greer. Jim's love for Jean was selfless and they shared much joy together. As Jean would say, "this is what true love is!!!" They would enjoy traveling the world in their years together, venturing through Europe via a river cruise, as well as Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Hawaii. A life well lived, one would say! He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, and his brothers.
