Jack was born on December 3, 1932, in Rochester, NY, the youngest of 6 children. He would be a lifelong resident of Rochester's 19th Ward.
Jack was proud to serve in the United States Navy, spending time in Japan during his service. After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he would go on to attend Bowling Green University.
He was a devout Catholic, and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Monica Church on Genesee St.
He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel & Amy Donoghue; as well as his siblings, Margaret, Helen, William, Maurice, and Jeremiah. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Monica Church, located at 831 Genesee St., Rochester, NY 14611. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with military honors.
