

Our dear husband, father, and grandfather, John Leonard Oechsle, passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of March 17, 2024, at the age of 80. His devoted wife and family were by his side throughout his life and especially during the challenges he faced in his recent years.
John was predeceased by his parents, Engelbert and Mary (Uebelhack) Oechsle. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen [Sorokti]; and his children, Suzanne (Eric) Feuerherm, Lori (Robert) Oechsle, John Jr. (Anne) Oechsle, Stephen (Amy) Oechsle, and Kathryn (Brian) Giardino; 10 grandchildren, Heidi Feuerherm, Bailey Arcadi, Tyler, Alexys, Angelia Oechsle, Ethan, Elsie Oechsle, Nathan, Bradley, and Zachary Giardino; sister-in-law, Suzanne Kilchenstein; brother-in-law, Peter (Karen) Sorokti; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
John proudly worked as a tool and die maker, working for several companies over the years, including Alliance Tool and Die, Acro Industries, and Precise Tool. Upon his retirement, John founded his own consulting company, Oechsle Consulting, where he consulted for many Tool and Die companies.
In his younger years John enjoyed biking, snowmobiling, and Enduro Motorcycle Racing, a sport he would enjoy sharing with his children. He also loved to play golf, racquetball and bowling. He greatly enjoyed nature, spending many hours watching the birds and deer on his property. Above all else, however, he loved his family. He was incredibly proud of and supportive of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 3-7PM at the Funeral Home of Alvah Halloran & Son, 2125 Chili Ave. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
