Joseph M. McMorrow

Joseph M. McMorrow of Rochester died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at age 84. Predeceased by his wife, Jane; brother, John; and sister, Mary Platino. He is survived by his children, Carolyn (Mark) Schroeder and David McMorrow; beloved granddaughters, Emily and Rebecca; sister, Margaret Watkins; cousin, Midge Dugan; sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Wolcott and Eileen O’Leary. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Joe was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the Monroe County Airport after 30 years of service. He loved all things Irish and was an avid Yankee fan and euchre player. He volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital and was longtime parishioner of St. Helen’s Church, where he served as an usher and was active in the Men’s Club.

Friends may call Friday, 2-4pm at the funeral home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave. Funeral mass, Saturday, 11:30am at St. Helen’s Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chili Senior Center (Euchre Group), 3235 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624 or Unity Adult Day Services at St. Bernard’s, 2260 Lake Ave., Building 5, Rochester, NY 14612.
