Kitty retired after a long career as a schoolteacher in the Spencerport School District for many years, a vocation that reflected her steady compassion and generous devotion to others. In the ways that mattered most—through patience, care, and quiet constancy—she offered kindness freely and made those around her feel seen and supported.
Beyond her work, Kitty found simple, genuine joy in the comforts of home and the pleasures of everyday life. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and she delighted in her love of cows and collecting cow-related items. She always had to have her coffee and candy, which she loved so much!
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Kathryn Loope and beloved husband, Alfred Rieke. She is survived by her brother, John (Sue) Loope, nephew, Todd, and nieces, Katie and Erin; as well as her stepchildren: Karen (Kevin) Kruge, Douglas Rieke, Michael Rieke, and Barbara (Thomas) Rieke-Viscardi; as well as grandson, Michael (Alicia) Viscardi, and 3 great-grandchildren.
