Kenneth J. Pamatat June 1st, 1946 -March 16th, 2019
With family at his side, Ken passed away peacefully on March 16th.
He is survived by daughter Sarah (Christian) Pollock, Alex (Phuong)Pamatat, granddaughter Elle Pamatat, and his special person Ann Hallick. He was very fortunate to have a loving extended family (Hallings, D’Agostino, & Fitzsimmons families).
Ken was born and raised in Long Island NY. After proudly serving in the Air Force for four years, he moved to Rochester, which became his beloved adopted hometown. After graduating from R.I.T., he started his employment at Kodak. Desiring entrepreneurship, Ken pursued a career in photography and started his own business, Creative Images.
He was a professional photographer with a passion for his craft. Photography was never a job to him, rather an opportunity to see the world and contribute to his community while encountering wonderful people at every turn. Ken was a bold, stalwart, larger than life personality.
Ken created a career where he mastered a cross section of multiple types of photography. His devotion to this career spanned 45 years, incorporating and not limited to working with Presidents, at major sporting events, weddings and celebrations, interior and exterior design, as well as commercial and business events. His spirit was always uplifted by travel and the pursuit of his personal interest, photographing nature. Ken’s passion for creating images from conception to execution ran deep and worldwide.
Ken was a man with a wide circle of friends and business associates. He especially loved being part of the Toyota Racing Team for 35 years, and was eternally grateful for the support and mentorship of Les Unger, Mgr. National Motor Sports and Jim Aust, President and CEO of Racing Development. He was also very grateful for the leadership and friendship of Pat Grover, President of the Rochester Press Radio Club, of which he was a proud member.
A special thank you goes out to his Highland Hospital caregivers: ICU, 5 West and 7 East.
Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday March 20th, from 4pm-7pm at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave., Gates. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 22nd, at the All Seasons Chapel, at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford.

We have good memories of our autumn trips to New England many years ago. It was fun looking for covered bridges or the best Vermont cheddar. We also had many good times getting together when the kids were young. We are so happy they have kept in touch through the years. Ken, may you rest in piece after a good life lived.
