Lorraine Theresa Healy

Lorraine passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11th, 2026 at age 93. She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Gabrych. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, William C. Healy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane (Daniel) MacEwan; Dr. William M. (Audrey) Healy; Robert (Cathy) Healy; Eileen (Michael, deceased) Dyer; and Janice (Louis) Ciocci; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine is also predeceased by her sister, Stella Wisner, and brothers, Joseph and Edward Gabrych.

Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed baking goodies for multiple family celebrations and gatherings. There was no shortage of Christmas cookies at the start of the holiday season, and each birthday was celebrated with a homemade cake. Buying, wrapping, and the giving of gifts were so special to her. Dancing the polka with her husband or anyone else who could keep up with her brought great joy. She traveled and camped for many years with her husband and family before settling into a quieter life.

She dedicated the final years of her career as an executive secretary at Eastman Kodak, where she was recognized for her thoroughness and dependability. Lorraine was a former resident of West Irondequoit, and a member of St. Margaret Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. Later in life, Lorraine resided in Ogden and North Chili and was a member of the Parish of the Holy Family.

Calling Hours will be held at Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, New York 14624, on September 15, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at The Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd., Rochester, NY 14606, on September 16, 2026, at 11:00 am.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
