

Margaret was youngest of seven children, born on February 10, 1925, in Dayton, Pennsylvania, to the late Angelo and Carmella Gigliotti. She was happily married to the love of her life, James Altman, for 54 years before his passing. Together, they made their home in Rochester, New York. She lived a long and beautiful life filled with love for her family and friends leaving a mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
Margaret is survived by her three children: Barbara (Randy) Murdock, Karen (Alan) Perrotta, and Deborah (Thomas) Houliares; her grandchildren: Bryon (Ingeborg) Murdock, Michelle (Gary) Lockard, Jennifer, Stephanie (Michael) Garlang-Perrotta, Justin, Chanel (Frank) Archetko, Nicole, and Zachary; her great-grandchildren: Hayley (Frank) Zuniga, Whitney (Kelvin) Volquez, David, Anja, Lacey, and Leonardo; and her great-great-grandchildren: Greyson, Max, and Gigi Rose.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, located at 26 Mendon Ionia Rd, Mendon, NY 14506, on September 26, 2025, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612.
