She is predeceased by her husband of 42 years Robert E. Sterling in 2001, and daughter, Ann L. Rosenzweig in 2009.
She is survived by her brother, Edward Rosenzweig (Kathy Donnelly), grandson, Stephen (Ann) Rosenzweig, and grand-daughters, Erika and Stefanie Rosenzweig, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She lived a full life that was filled with family, love and laughter. She grew up on Main Street in Rochester with 7 siblings; Robert, Helen, Charles, Edward, Jeannette, Eugene, and Mary. Her house in North Chili is fondly remembered as a family gathering place for many weddings, birthdays, graduation parties, and other gatherings. She enjoyed fishing and travelling, especially if there was a casino near the destination. She worked for many years as a bus driver for Churchville Chili School District and had many good friends there. Although Alzheimer's took most of her memory away in her final years, her wonderful personality still shined through as the staff at Cherry Ridge and St. Ann's will attest. She will be missed by all.
She was laid to rest April 6th at the Chenango Valley Cemetery near Binghamton next to her husband Robert, daughter Ann, and parents Marguerite and William Rosenzweig.
Family and friends may gather for a memorial and celebration of her life on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 4-7PM at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY 14624. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450 in her honor.
