Born in Buffalo, Mary graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1951 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from D’Youville College in 1955. She moved to pursue her nursing career in Rochester, where she and Jack raised their family. They were dedicated, active parishioners at St. Helen and Holy Ghost Churches.
Mary’s legacy is best described by her senior photo caption in the D’Youville yearbook: “Serving with selflessness…Lighthearted spirit mingled with a quiet humor…Hers is an Irish wit that laughs with life.”
