Nancy had a deep love of children and worked each day to see God in the face of each child. She was a proud mother of two, Michael and Suzanne. Nancy was also a kindergarten and preschool teacher for over 30 years, most of which was with the Catholic diocese.
All those who met Nancy were touched by her light. She had an incredible sense of humor and showed her strength countless times throughout her life in the face of adversity. Her heart was so full. Nancy left an immediate and lasting impression on everyone who met her, owing to her kindness, love, and inclusion. Over the years, so many lives have been enriched by her presence.
She and her husband David celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last October surrounded by so much love from family and friends while dancing to a live Beatles cover band. She loved the Beatles and was recently thrilled to see Paul McCartney live. She and David have been Beatles fans their entire lives.
Nancy was also fond of yellow roses and her parents’ cottage in Fair Haven, NY, on the southern shore of Lake Ontario, where she spent every summer growing up and provided the same for her own children.
Nancy’s memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Mary Magdalene Church, 1008 Main St, East Rochester, NY, 14445. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall at the church with cake and coffee.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Nancy’s name to Brighton Volunteer Ambulance or the National Kidney Foundation.
