Bishop Oce Jones

Bishop Oce Jones, passed into eternal salvation on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 91. He was born on October 20, 1934 in Laurel, Mississippi, the son of the late Selmer and Elmer Clinton Jones. He was a devoted and loving husband and a cherished father whose presence will be deeply missed.

Bishop Jones was called to a role in ministry serving our Lord at an early age and served in his capacity full-time for more than 50 years. Most recently, he served as the Pastor and founder of the Christ Tabernacle Church in Tampa, Florida, and in his prior years served as Senior Pastor of Christ Tabernacle Church in Rochester, New York, which he also established.

Bishop Oce Jones is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mattie Jones, and his children.

In addition to his parents, Bishop Oce was preceded in death by his five siblings: Evelyn Watkins, Loce Jones, Margie Moore, Aseline Jones Ratcliff and John Calvin Jones.

A funeral service honoring his life and his faith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Christ Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church, located at 206 Norton Street, Rochester, New York 14621.
